About The Film
A heartwarming, joyous, and uplifting dramedy about the misadventures of a Buenos Aires rabbi who borrowed large sums of money to help his synagogue continue to serve the needy. Now years later, the unpaid debt has finally caught up with him, as a moneylender demands full repayment or he will seize the synagogue property. As a last-ditch, desperate attempt, he travels to Taiwan in search of unlikely donors to secure the synagogue's debts that will save his community. What follows is a journey that leads to unexpected financing and transcendence—a story that imparts the values of community spirit, family, and hope.
