About The Film

Her legacy is volatile: to some, former Israeli Prime Minister Golda Meir is a feminist icon, an iron-willed leader called "The Iron Lady" long before England's Margaret Thatcher. To others, she is a disgrace, a traitor. Shining new light on her remarkable years in power as the first (and only) female prime minister of Israel, a previously unaired TV documentary reveals candid, insightful "hot mic" moments when Meir thought the cameras had stopped rolling.
