
In 1944, the legendary Spanish clown Charlie Rivel was summoned to perform at the Fuhrer's birthday party in Berlin at the Scala Theatre. To Rivel's discomfort, the Gestapo agent who invited him wants to be part of the act. Meanwhile, Witzi, Rivel's sidekick, wants to take moral stand against the Nazis.
