In Our Own Hands In Our Own Hands
The Hidden Story of the Jewish Brigade in WWII
85 min • USA 1998
English, Hebrew w/subtitles
Chuck Olin, Director

A unforgettable cross between Schindler’s List and A Dirty Dozen, In Our Own Hands reveals for the first time the secret history of the Jewish Brigade – the only all-Jewish fighting unit in World War II. War’s end is only the beginning for the self-described "ordinary Israeli boys" who masterminded clandestine operations and carried them out under the noses of the occupying Allied forces: tracking down and executing Nazi officers; engineering the rescue and illegal movement of survivors to Palestine; and engaging in widespread arms thefts to secure weapons that eventually would be used in Israel’s War of Independence. A story of daring acts of courage and imagination, vividly told with humor and poignancy.

"In Our Own Hands is occasionally chilling and altogether a revelation." – Newsday
