DEAR FRIENDS,

We write to you from a very different perspective today than we would have a scant few months ago.  We write to seek your support in producing the 7th Annual Seattle Jewish Film Festival knowing that, this year, everything we do has new meaning.

The Seattle Jewish Film Festival’s role as the Northwest’s largest annual Jewish community event has taken on a whole new meaning as the arts strive to revitalize the community’s spirits after the horrific acts of September 11th.  SJFF is one of the few opportunities for the entire Jewish community to come together and we are expecting greater numbers than ever before.  We plan on providing an impeccable line-up of films, discussions, and visiting artists to bring as much meaning as possible to this year’s Festival.

The next few months will be filled with event planning, film selection, and fundraising.  The SJFF relies on you  for your generous support to launch this annual event. We offer great value with Film Festival passes, donor events and SJFF goodies!

Please print out the Acrobat file below and fax us your tax-deductible contribution.  Or, if it is more convenient for you, please contact Molly Sedlik at the AJC office - 206-622-6315, ext. 4 - with your credit card number so that we may process your gift.

Your gift is a tangible show of confidence in the future of the festival, and a signal of the continued role this dynamic program will play in broadening understanding of Jewish culture and the impact of the American Jewish Committee in Greater Seattle.

Join us for our Seventh Anniversary Season by becoming a Sponsor of SJFF 2002 and help us continue this tradition!  Once again, please accept our thanks for your part in making the vision of SJFF 2002 a reality.

See you at the simcha!

Community Makes the Difference!
Our celebration of Jewish film, arts and culture is a meeting place for the community–An annual reunion! SJFF reflects and serves the diversity of our Jewish community. Kids and adults, religious and secular, traditionally affiliated and newly arrived – each year, we take a week to explore our history and contemplating our future through the magic of film. This year at the CINERAMA!

The SJFF is the only Jewish community event that brings together 10,000 people. We guarantee access for all:

  • SJFF Community Tickets: Providing free admission for low-income families, new immigrants, the disabled, and individuals in need

  • “Free-For-Seniors” Matinee: A free afternoon of classic cinema, a hallmark event

  • SJFF Community Partners: Partnering with a broad array of non-profit and social agencies to promote programs and services in our lobby.
