A Bomb in the Basement

wpe8.gif (3557916 bytes)

The first film to tell the story of the development of the Israeli nuclear option.  Featuring extensive interviews with, among others, Israeli Foreign Minister Shimon Peres, director Michael Karpin’s compelling documentary lucidly details the extraordinarily complex, costly, and secretive endeavor that has perhaps guaranteed Israel’s survival among nations. A Bomb in the Basement aired on Israel’s Channel 2 this past winter, a unique event; until then, the Israeli media rarely mentioned Dimona and the Israeli nuclear project.  Director Michael Karpin will be present for a post-film discussion.
