Starbucks Lights Up the Fifth Anniversary AJC/Seattle Jewish Film Festival

The American Jewish Committee (AJC) is pleased to announce that Starbucks Coffee Company has agreed to be the lead corporate sponsor of the AJC’s fifth anniversary Seattle Jewish Film Festival.

"The philosophy and values of Starbucks are mirrored in the mission statement of the AJC and the outstanding films and programming that occur during this week-long festival," says Starbucks Chairman and CEO Howard Schultz. "We are proud to support the Seattle Jewish Film Festival."

The Seattle Jewish Film Festival, presented by the American Jewish Committee, has become one of the top five Jewish film festivals in the United States. This week-long festival features national and international award-winning films and a slate of guest speakers, visiting filmmakers and educational forums. Other highlights include the annual bagel and film brunch, special Opening and Closing Night programs and FILMTalks!, a day-long diversity training workshop for area high school students.

The chairs of the past four Seattle Jewish Film Festivals have joined together to co-chair this exciting fifth anniversary year. The co-chairs are: Carol Gown, Michael Levin, Ron Ralph, Deborah Rosen and Leslie Rosen

Deborah Rosen, a returning chair from the original Festival in 1996 says, "We are very pleased that Starbucks has once again stepped forward to support our Film Festival. With such corporate sponsorship, we look forward to making this festival our best yet."
