Antiracist
Instead of paying attention
to the victims of racism and xenophobia, Swedish filmmaker Liv Weisberg focuses
on those fighting intolerance in nuanced and proactive ways.
We are introduced to three Swedish social activists: an Uruguayan
immigrant working for the Stockholm-based Youth Against Racism, a human rights
organizer and a reformed skinhead turned antifascist leader. A vivid and
refreshing look at what the media often glosses over.
This important film was produced by Englands European Multiracial
Media Agency (EMMA) and IBT, an international broadcasting trust set up by the
likes of Amnesty International and Friends of the Earth.
Presented
by Northwest Coalition for Human Dignity and co-sponsored by the Washington
State Jewish Historical Society
